Our program includes Ketamine-Assisted Couples Therapy, designed to help partners strengthen emotional connection, reduce conflict, and heal from trauma together.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
A structured, integrative psychotherapy program guided by expertly trained psychodynamic therapists. This specialized service builds on the transformative effects of Ketamine treatment.
What Is Ketamine Therapy and How Does it Work?
Ketamine therapy has evolved from its original use as an anesthetic to one of the most promising breakthroughs in mental health care. When administered at low doses under medical supervision, it can rapidly relieve symptoms of depression, PTSD, and anxiety—especially for individuals who haven’t responded to other treatments.
The treatment works by temporarily blocking NMDA receptors in the brain, which increases levels of glutamate, a neurotransmitter essential for learning, memory, and mood regulation. This boost in glutamate activity helps create new neural connections, repairing and strengthening pathways linked to emotional resilience and well-being.
During each infusion, patients are cared for in a calm, closely monitored setting. A session typically lasts between 40 minutes and one hour, during which some people experience mild dissociation or floating sensations that subside soon after the treatment.
Because of its fast-acting effects, many patients report significant relief within hours or days—making Ketamine therapy a potential lifeline for those living with treatment-resistant depression or chronic anxiety.
What is the Cost and Process for IV Ketamine Treatment
At Zeam Health & Wellness, we now offer a flexible, à la carte Ketamine treatment model designed to fit individual needs and treatment goals. Rather than one-size-fits-all pricing, each patient can select from a range of care options based on their preferences and ongoing support needs.
Here’s how the process works:
- A comprehensive consultation and psychiatric/medical evaluation with one of our Ketamine-certified providers.
- A personalized care plan, which may include standalone IV Ketamine infusions or integrated therapy options.
- Continuous monitoring during every session for comfort and safety.
Pricing varies based on treatment type and whether additional therapeutic support is included.
Patients combining Ketamine with other Zeam services—such as therapy, medication management, or primary care—may qualify for discounted rates through our integrated care program.

Conditions Treated with Ketamine
Ketamine therapy has shown remarkable success in helping people whose symptoms have not responded to traditional treatments. By rapidly enhancing communication between key brain regions, Ketamine can restore balance in mood regulation and emotional processing.
Conditions that may benefit from Ketamine treatment include:
- Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD): For individuals who haven’t found relief through standard antidepressants, Ketamine can often reduce depressive symptoms within hours or days.
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Ketamine may help patients process traumatic memories with less emotional distress, especially when combined with therapy.
- Bipolar Depression: Offers mood stabilization and relief from depressive phases without triggering mania when medically managed.
- Severe Anxiety Disorders: Helps reduce persistent fear and tension by calming overactive neural pathways.
- Suicidal Ideation: Studies show Ketamine can rapidly reduce thoughts of self-harm, often within the first few treatments.
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): Early research indicates Ketamine may interrupt compulsive thought loops and promote cognitive flexibility.

Preparing for Ketamine Therapy
At Zeam Health & Wellness, every Ketamine treatment is tailored to ensure your experience is safe, comfortable, and effective. Preparation plays a vital role in maximizing your results, so here’s what to expect before, during, and after your session.
The following information applies to all Ketamine treatments offered at Zeam Health & Wellness — whether you’re receiving IV Ketamine, Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, or a Psycholytic session.
One Week Before Treatment
Before beginning treatment, schedule your appointments in advance to secure your preferred time slots.
Your initial psychiatric assessment lasts approximately 50 minutes and costs $475 (this may be billable through insurance, if applicable). During this visit, your provider will conduct a detailed medical and psychiatric evaluation to ensure Ketamine is an appropriate and safe option for you.
Depending on your treatment plan, you may also schedule preparatory therapy sessions to set intentions, discuss goals, and build rapport with your therapist.
To prepare:
- Review all current medications and supplements with your provider, including any recent changes.
- Follow instructions regarding which medications to continue or pause prior to treatment.
- Avoid sedatives (like benzodiazepines or opiates) unless specifically approved.
- Refrain from recreational drug use before your appointment.
- Get adequate rest and stay hydrated the day before.
- Arrange transportation to and from our clinic — driving afterward is not permitted.
Day of the Treatment
Arrive 15 minutes early to check in, update your provider, and settle in.
If you bring a support person, they are welcome to remain nearby during your treatment.
Quick checklist:
- Use the restroom before your session.
- Avoid eating solid foods for four hours prior; clear liquids (like water or herbal tea) are fine up to two hours before.
- Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours before treatment.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a sweater or jacket.
- Bring any comfort items that help you relax (a small blanket or pillow).
- Consider relaxing instrumental music—it can enhance the experience.
During Treatment
Your provider and care team will monitor you throughout the session to ensure comfort and safety.
Communication is encouraged—please let us know how you’re feeling physically or emotionally at any point.
As Ketamine takes effect, you may experience mild dissociation or dreamlike sensations. Try to stay open to the process rather than resisting—it’s part of the therapeutic experience.
We can provide tools like an eye mask or soft music if they help you relax.
How To Take Care of Yourself After Treatment
Recovery and integration are essential parts of Ketamine therapy. Plan for the rest of the day to be quiet and restorative.
After your session:
- Have a support person available for at least 12–24 hours.
- Rest, hydrate, and eat light meals as tolerated.
- Focus on gentle, grounding activities (journaling, listening to music, or going for a walk).
- Avoid alcohol, cannabis, and sedatives.
- Continue taking prescribed medications as instructed.
- Attend follow-up appointments as scheduled—mood improvements can continue to build over time.
Our team will provide a post-treatment journal to help you track insights and progress, which can be a valuable part of your healing journey.

Required before beginning treatment. If we accept your insurance, this assessment may be billed to your plan.

Ketamine Treatment Sessions (2.5 hours)
We offer two distinct treatment approaches:
Psychedelic Ketamine Treatment
An immersive, introspective experience with higher doses.
What to expect: A deeply inward journey (often with visual imagery and altered perception). Your therapist is present throughout for safety and support. The psychiatric provider is present for the first hour to administer medication and monitor your initial response.
Best for: Transformational work, processing trauma, or deeper psychological exploration.
- IM (Intramuscular) Administration: $1,300 per session
- IV (Intravenous) Administration: $1,400 per session
Psycholytic Ketamine Treatment
A conversational, therapy-forward experience with adjusted dosing.
What to expect: Carefully titrated doses allow you to remain communicative while reducing defenses. The psychiatric provider remains present for the entire 2.5 hours to adjust dosing and facilitate therapeutic dialogue alongside your therapist.
Best for: Patients who prefer to talk through insights in real time or who find fully immersive experiences difficult.
- IV (Intravenous) Administration Only: $1,600 per session
